When accepted and confirmed
Once the emergency request is accepted and confirmed, Sunset Air will get en route as soon as possible and will typically arrive within one hour or less. This is a priority-response target, not a guaranteed arrival time. Traffic, weather, distance, access, safety, technician availability, and active emergencies can affect timing. If that response window cannot reasonably be met, the customer is told before the emergency response is confirmed.
Life-safety emergency? Call 911. Sunset Air can respond only to urgent HVAC or marine A/C problems. For fire, smoke, a carbon-monoxide alarm, a suspected gas leak, a medical emergency, dangerous electrical conditions, or any immediate threat to people or property, leave the area if necessary and contact 911, the fire department, or the appropriate utility. Do not wait for an HVAC technician.
Rates shown are service-call and dispatch fees for one system. Repairs, parts, refrigerant, maintenance, difficult access, and additional systems are separate. Availability is not confirmed until Sunset Air accepts the call.
Service call or maintenance—which do I need?
Book the right visit
Known problem? Service call. Working system? Maintenance.
A maintenance visit needs a running, working system so operation can be checked before and after cleaning. If you already know the equipment has a problem, choose service or repair—not maintenance.
Choose a service call when
Something is not working correctly.
- No cooling, no airflow, or the system will not start
- Inside or outside equipment is not running
- Water leak, ice, unusual noise, odor, or breaker trip
- Intermittent operation or a known part/control problem
Choose maintenance when
The system is running and due for upkeep.
- Equipment is operating and cooling normally
- It needs routine cleaning, inspection, and performance checks
- The goal is prevention, condition reporting, and seasonal care
- Routine dirt or drain buildup appears to be the only concern
What happens on arrival: If the system is not operating or has a fault, the visit starts as a service diagnostic so the cause can be found and a repair can be offered. Maintenance can follow after the equipment is running. If the system is otherwise working and only needs routine cleaning or condensate-drain service within the maintenance scope, maintenance may be the right visit.
